Am overjoyed to find out that Bristol City Council won't pay housing benefit to cover mortgage interest to homeowners (even us single parent ones). Am in the process of getting on to the CAB about it to find out if there is an alternative type of benefit available that does. if not ight have to seel the house in order to rent somewhere MORE expensive (than my mortgage) in order to get some help. How stoooopid is that? Or alternatively i could rent my house out to friends and they could get hosuing to pay their rent (covering my mortgage) and i could then rent somewhere else. Why does life have to be this complicated??
