I've been flying somewhat under the radar for the past couple of weeks but am back as I'm starting to get somewhere with all my endeavours(ish), so now I actually have something to write about!!!

Have successfully conquered the beast that is AcidPro and started working on a tune a couple of days ago. Unfortunately for me my tech unfriendly side let me down and I didn't save it properly so have to rebuild the last few bits I added to it as they got wiped...boo to that. It is a work in progress. i think i want to sample myself singing and add bits in and chop it up a bit.

My new career as a performer is about to be up and running as well - I've got it set up and can start when I'm ready (a few things need to be done on the home front first)

Other than all that, I did some promo work in leicester for Jonny, handing out flyers for Jack Jones, the clothing company that he is doing pr and marketing for. My stint as promo girl was an unqualified success and the returns the shop got on my efforts were fantastic so now he has said that if I'm up for it in the fuuture he'd like me to run temas for him doing the same sort of thing when it needs doing...which means more MONEY. So it looks like my new life as self employed 'musician/performer/promotions/whatever' is off to an almost flying start. Now if only the shit with my ex would be as easy life would be just peachy. But it doesn't work like that does it? Still, he failed to turn up to court on tuesday after a whole load of palaver about not wanting to adjourn even though his solicitor had failed to provide me with paperwork in time to get it looked at properly. The judge took a very dim view, and was really nice to me. It can only count in my favour in the end.

Them upstairs are trying to tell me I should start writing I think...but I am a bit blocked on that front at the moment so I'll give it some time.

Off to the tax office now to register as self employed...unless i can do it over the phone...
